ABSTRACT TREATMENT OF PLANTS FOR FROST PROTECTION A method of controlling frost damage at a locus in which plants are growing, which comprises applying to the plants from 0. 5 to 5 kg/ha of a compound of formula (I) [R-O-PH(=O)-O]nM (I) wherein R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; M is a hydrogen atom, or an alkali, alkaline earth, or aluminium metal atom; and n is an integer which is equal to the valence of M.
