The invention relates to a method permitting the reduction in content of pathogens in sewage sludges, comprising the steps of (a) addition of an effective amount of a phosphorous compound to the sludges and (b) maintaining the phosphorous compound in contact with the sludge for a time sufficient to reduce the quantity of pathogens present in the sludge by a quantity equivalent to a logarithmic reduction of 2 or more.
La présente invention fournit un procédé permettant de réduire la teneur en pathogènes de boues d'épuration comprenant les étapes consistant à (a) ajouter aux boues une quantité efficace d'un composé phosphoré et (b) maintenir le composé phosphoré en contact avec les boues pendant un temps suffisant pour réduire la quantité de pathogènes présente dans les boues d'une quantité équivalant ô une baisse logarithmique de 2 ou plus.
