The invention provides methods for treating tendinopathy. The disorders treated or prevented include, for example tendinitis, tendonitis, tendinosis, paratendinitis, tenocynovitis, tendon overuse injury and trauma, peritendinitis, paratenonitis, or other tendon degenerative disorders. The disclosed therapeutic methods include administering to a patient an inhibitor of molecules involved in cartilage or fibrocartilage formation in tendinopathic tendon in an amount effective to treat or prevent a tendon degenerative disorder, slow tendon deterioration, restore tendon healthy structure, stimulate tendon regeneration, and/or maintain tendon mass and/or quality.
L'invention concerne des procédés de traitement de la tendinopathie. Parmi les troubles traités ou prévenus on compte par exemple la tendinite, la tendonite, la tendinose, la paratendinite, la ténocynovite, une blessure et un traumatisme dus au surmenage des tendons, une péritendinite, une paraténonite, ou d'autres troubles dégénératifs du tendon. L'invention concerne également des procédés thérapeutiques qui consistent à administrer à un patient un inhibiteur de molécules impliqué dans la formation de cartilage ou de fibrocartilage dans le tendon tendinopathique en quantité efficace pour traiter ou prévenir un trouble dégénératif du tendon, ralentir la détérioration du tendon, restaurer la structure saine du tendon, stimuler sa régénération, et/ou maintenir la masse et/ou la qualité tendineuse.
