Abstract of the Disclosure Apparatus for treating running lengths of tire ply stock, gum stock, chafer, chipper, and similar components of diverse widths by electron radiation from a high voltage electron accelerator in a shielded chamber, facilitates handling by plural parallel conveyors which can operate individually for lesser widths or in synchronism as one conveyor to carry greater widths through the treatment chamber. Letoff and windup units are associated with individual conveyors and with the combined conveyors.
