ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to wallboard and a method that is useful in protecting the edges of wallboard, such as gypsum wallboard, from burning while being passed through the drier on the wallboard production line. The method involves coating the edges of the wallboard with a coating that is at least semi-permeable to the transmission of water vapour.
