ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for treating water contaminated with a dilute dispersion of film-forming resin which comprises: gradually mixing a minor flocculating proportion of Portland cement with a major proportion of said contaminated water until said resin flocculates; and separating resulting floc from resulting aqueous phase. The resulting floc or slack sludge may then be left to cure with rejection of water so that a consolidated sludge product is formed which may be used for landfill purposes due to its leach-resistant property.
