A method treating a human patient to or diagnosed with a tumor in which ErbB2 protein is expressed comprising the following steps, performed sequentially: (a) treating the patient with a therapeutically effective amount of an anti- ErbB2 antibody; (b) surgically removing the tumor, and then (c) treating the patient with a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-ErbB2 antibody or of a chemotherapeutic agent.

Cette invention concerne une méthode de traitement d'un patient chez lequel on a diagnostiqué la présence d'une tumeur dans laquelle est exprimée une protéine ErbB2. Cette méthode comprend les opérations suivantes, exécutées séquentiellement : (a) traiter le patient avec une dose efficace au plan thérapeutique d'un anticorps anti-ErbB2 ; (b) procéder à l'ablation chirurgicale de la tumeur ; et (c) traiter le patient au moyen d'une dose thérapeutiquement efficace d'un anticorps anti-ErbB2 ou d'un agent chimio-thérateutique.
