ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tree delimber and loader suitable for mounting on the free end of an articulated and extensible boom movable between a variety of different positions. The delimber and loader head frame is swivelably mounted on the boom for pivotal movement about at least two perpendicularly related axes. The frame in- cludes limb stripping means for delimbing a tree trunk passed therethrough while supporting at least a portion of the weight of the tree trunk. In addition, shearing means may be provided on the frame opposite the delimbing means for selectively cutting off a portion of the tree top from the tree trunk at the comple- tion of the delimbing operation. Means are also provided on the frame for moving a tree in a generally horizontal position through the delimbing means while simultaneously supporting the tree in the frame during the delimbing operation.
