A B S T R A C T A tree felling head wherein an accumulator grapple and power-driven circular saw are mounted on a common frame, such frame being reciprocally mounted on a boom mounting adapter so that when the felling head is positioned adjacent a tree, the power-driven saw can be moved forwardly in a straight line path to make a cut through the tree whereafter the cut tree is gripped by the grapple and held in an upright position.
