A B S T R A C T A tree felling head Wherein the grab arms and power driven circular saw are mounted on comon frame,such frame being reciprocally mounted on a boom mounting adapter so that when the falling head can be positioned adjacent a tree. The common frame can be moved on the rails of boom mounting adapter,forwardly in a straight line path to make a cut through the tree and at the same time the cut tree is gripped by the grab arms and held in an upright position.
