TREE HANDLING METHOD INCLUDING LIMBING ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Full trees are piled off a road at a landing and are processed by equipment mounted on a vehicle, the equip- ment being capable of lifting, moving, limbing and topping the trees. The vehicle operates in an area between the road and the pile of full trees. During the limbing and topping operation a bed of limbs and trees is formed on which the limbed trunks may be deposited, thereby keeping the trunks out of the mud, and hence clean, and minimizing the chances of the trunks freezing in the ground. The pile of limbed trunks is formed closer to the road than the pile of full trees to facilitate pick-up by on-road equipment. -1-
