An elongate beam has a mounting end and a projecting end, with a pulley mounted to the projecting end. A length-adjustable belt is mounted to the mounting end of the beam for securing the mounting end of the beam to an upright, such as a tree. A V-shaped brace assembly has a narrow supporting end pivotingly attached to the beam intermediate the beam ends, and a broad base end. The brace assembly includes a pair of legs which form the V-shape. The legs have spaced-apart base ends for positioning adjacent to an upright. A brace plate extends between the base ends of the legs and forms a recess facing away from the supporting end of the brace assembly for receiving uprights of different sizes. A flexible spacing element, such as a chain, extends between the mounting end of the beam and the base end of the brace assembly for limiting the separation between the mounting end of the beam and the base end of the brace assembly.
