An improved Christmas tree stand (10) comprises a receptacle (12) for receiving the trunk of a tree and a base (14) for receiving the receptacle (12) and tree. The base (14) includes an upper shell (16) which can be easily swiveled to any position with respect to a lower shell (18) so as to position a tree vertically in any desired position without shimming.

La base (14) comprend un coque supérieure (16) que l'on peut faire pivoter facilement pour lui donner n'importe quelle position par rapport à une coque inférieure (18), ce qui permet de placer un arbre verticalement dans une position quelconque sans recourir à un calage de compensation.
