ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is provided for the positioning and supporting of a tree having a tree stem and a rootball. A hole is formed in a ground surface, and anchors are positioned within the hole. Block fragments are then positioned around the tree stem. The rootball is positioned within the hole, and a tension member is connected to the securing member and also to the anchors. A tightening member is connected to the tension member for adjusting the tension of the tension member, in order to retain the tree within the hole.
