ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus is provided in which a signal indicative of the tremor is sensed. This signal is amplified in a variable gain amplifier. During an initial time interval the size of the amplifier signal is determined and the gain of the amplifier is adjusted in response to the signal size. Then means are provided for indicating the size of frequency of the adjusted signal during a further time period to give a tremor measurement which may be relatively easily interpreted.
