TRENCH WALL SYSTEM FOR A CABLE CONDUIT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A trench wall system for forming a conduit for high voltage cables and the like includes a plurality of rectangular cast concrete side walls which are supported on support brackets at abutting ends of the side walls. Each support bracket is generally U shaped so as to provide two support members spaced across the width of the support bracket to support two parallel side walls of the trench. Each support member is formed from an upstanding stainless steel channel within which an edge of the side panel is received. The upstanding stainless steel channel is welded to reinforcing bars at the base of the channel and a concrete pad is cast to form a rectangular base pad on which the end of the side walls rest.
