Triazine derivatives represented by general formula (I) (wherein each symbol is as defined in the specification), processes for the production thereof, and herbicides containing the derivatives of general formula (I) or salts thereof as the active ingredient. The derivatives are not phytotoxic against cotton and can selectively control a wide variety of upland weeds including abutilons <u>Abutilon avicennae</u>, one of malvaceous weeds like cotton, in a low dose. Herbicides containing these derivatives as the active ingredient are therefore remarkably useful for cotton fields.

Dérivés de triazine représentés par la formule générale (I), dans laquelle chaque symbole est tel que défini dans la description, procédés de production de ces dérivés, et herbicides contenant les dérivés de la formule (I) précitée ou leurs sels comme principe actif. Ces dérivés ne sont pas phytotoxiques par rapport au coton, et permettent de lutter sélectivement, à faibles doses, contre une large gamme de mauvaises herbes des régions montagneuses, y compris les abutilons (Abutilon avicennae), une malvacée de la même famille que le coton. Des herbicides contenant ces dérivés comme principe actif sont donc remarquablement utiles dans les champs de coton.
