TRIAZOLE-DITHIOPHOSPHATE REACTION PRODUCT AND LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING SAME ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Oxidation in lubricants is reduced by adding to a lubricant a small amount (e.g. from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the total composition) of the reaction product of an alkylbenzenetriazole having the formula Image wherein R is an alkyl group having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms; and an organodithiophosphate having the formula Image wherein R', which may be the same or different, is a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 25 carbon atoms, M is a metal or ammonium cation, and X is the valence of M.
