ABSTRACT A pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing proliferative glomerulonephritis, which comprises a compound of the formula: Image (see fig.I) wherein ring A is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring, having two nitrogen atoms as the hetero-atoms, which may be substituted with oxo or thioxo; ring Q may be substituted; Y is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group, an optionally substituted hydroxy group or an optionally substituted mercapto group; and Rl is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group or an acyl group, or a salt thereof, and a novel compound of the formula: Image (see fig.II) wherein ring Aa may have one oxo group; D is a bond or an optionally substituted divalent hydrocarbon group; ring W is an optionally substituted nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; ring Q may be substituted; and R3 is an electron-withdrawing group, or a salt thereof, which have excellent PDGF-inhibiting activities, activities of ameliorating renal diseases and activities of lowering lipid level and are less toxic and are useful as a preventive and treating agent for cardisvascular diseases.

Une composition pharmaceutique pour traiter ou prévenir la glomérulonéphrite proliférative, qui comprend un composé de formule : Image où le noyau A est un noyau hétérocyclique contenant de l'azote, ayant deux atomes d'azote comme hétéroatomes, qui peut être substitué par un oxo ou un thioxo; le noyau Q peut être substitué; Y est un groupe hydrocarboné facultativement substitué, un groupe hydroxy facultativement substitué ou un groupe mercapto facultativement substitué; et R1 est un atome d'hydrogène, un atome d'halogène, un groupe hydrocarboné facultativement substitué ou un groupe acyle, ou un sel de ce composé, et un nouveau composé de formule : Image où le noyau Aa peut porter un groupe oxo; D est une liaison ou un groupe hydrocarboné divalent facultativement substitué; le noyau W est un noyau hétérocyclique contenant de l'azote facultativement substitué; le noyau Q peut être substitué; et R3 est un groupe accepteur d'électrons, ou un sel de ce composé; ces composés ont une excellente activité du point de vue de l'inhibition du PDGF, du traitement des maladies rénales, de la réduction de la concentration de lipides et sont moins toxiques; ils sont également utiles comme agents pour la prévention et le traitement des maladies cardio-vasculaires.
