The application describes an administering device, in particular a self-injecting device, comprising a body for holding a container (16) of a substance to be administered, a release mechanism (47), and means (46) controlled by the release mechanism to discharge the said substance. The body is formed of two parts (40,41), one part being movable relative to the other, wherein one part (40) has a trigger (66) and the said release mechanism (47) is partly actuated by the operation of a trigger (66) of the said one part and partly actuated by movement of the other part (41) relative to the said one part (40), but is only wholly actuated by both the operation of the trigger and the movement of the other part. Thus the discharge means cannot be accidentally actuated.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif servant à s'auto-administrer, en particulier à s'auto-injecter, une substance. Il comprend un corps dans lequel se loge un réservoir (16), un mécanisme déclencheur (47) et un moyen (46) commandé par le déclencheur et servant à l'injection de ladite substance. Le corps est formé de deux pièces (40, 41), une mobile par rapport à l'autre. Une des pièces (40) comporte une détente (66). L'objet de l'invention est monté de façon que le mécanisme déclencheur soit en partie actionné par la détente et en partie par le déplacement de la pièce (41) par rapport à la pièce (40), mais que l'intervention simultanée des deux soit nécessaire pour la décharge de la substance à administrer. Cette disposition constructive a pour objet d'empêcher une décharge accidentelle.
