A trimmer head for use with a legth of flexible cutting line in a rotary trimmer comprising a housing operatively connected to the trimmer to effect rotation of the head and a spool for carrying the cutting line thereon. The spool is operatively connected to the housing for rotation therewith and defines a line receptor channel having opposed open ends and traversing the spool. The channel can be aligned with the eyelets in the housing skirt such that cutting line can be inserted therethrough and wrapped about the spool upon relative rotation of the spool and housing without having to interrupt the operative connection therebetween. A central portion of the channel intermediary its open ends is exposed to provide access to the portion of line therein so that line wound about the spool can be pulled from the head without having to interrupt the operative connection therebetween.
L'invention concerne une tête de coupe-bordure destinée à être utilisée avec une longueur d'un fil de coupe flexible dans un coupe-bordure rotatif comprenant un boîtier fonctionnellement couplé au coupe-bordure pour effectuer une rotation de la tête et une bobine pour transporter le fil de coupe sur celle-ci. La bobine est connectée de façon fonctionnelle au boîtier en vue d'une rotation avec celui-ci et définit un canal de récepteur de fil ayant des extrémités ouvertes opposées et traversant la bobine. Le canal peut être aligné avec les AEillets dans la jupe du boîtier, de telle sorte que le fil de coupe peut être introduit à travers celle-ci et enroulé autour de la bobine lors d'une rotation relative de la bobine et du boîtier sans avoir à interrompre la connexion fonctionnelle entre ceux-ci. Une partie centrale du canal entre ses extrémités ouvertes est exposée pour fournir un accès à la partie de fil dans celle-ci, de telle sorte que le fil enroulé autour de la bobine peut être tiré à partir de la tête sans avoir à interrompre la connexion fonctionnelle entre celles-ci.
