ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A trip beam linkage for moldboard plow or other earth working tools which trips to clear obstacles such as rocks and the like and uses a sturdy, compact and reliable folding tripping linkage which permits reliable, high clearance trip- ping using tension springs. The linkage lengths are selected to permit reliance on spring force for initial holding, which is reliable. The folding linkage is positioned so spring expansion is kept to a minimum during tripping. The linkage can be adjusted to permit aligning the earth working tool. The working position of the linkage is determined by an ad- justable stop.
