A trip unit includes a housing having a first opening (28) and a second opening (30). A sensor (7A) senses a current flowing in an electrical circuit and provides a signal representative of the current. A selector switch (32) is disposed proximate the first opening and selects one of predetermined instantaneous current conditions and predetermined arc reduction maintenance system current conditions. A movable indicator (34) cooperates with the selector switch, is disposed proximate the second opening, and indicates whether one of the predetermined instantaneous current conditions or one of the predetermined arc reduction maintenance system current conditions is selected by the selector switch. A trip circuit (11,20) cooperates with the sensor and the selector switch to evaluate the signal representative of the current with respect to the selected one of the predetermined instantaneous current conditions and the predetermined arc reduction maintenance system current conditions, and responsively generates a trip signal.
La présente invention concerne une unité de déclenchement comportant un boîtier présentant une première ouverture et une seconde ouverture. Un capteur détecte un courant circulant dans un circuit électrique et fournit un signal représentant le courant. Un commutateur est disposé à proximité de la première ouverture et sélectionne une parmi des conditions prédéterminées de courant instantané et parmi des conditions prédéterminées de courant de système de maintien de réduction d'arcs électriques. Un indicateur mobile coopérant avec le commutateur, est disposé à proximité de la seconde ouverture, et indique si une des conditions prédéterminées de courant instantané ou une des conditions prédéterminées de courant de système de maintien de réduction d'arc est sélectionnée par le commutateur. Un mécanisme de déclenchement coopère avec le capteur et le commutateur pour évaluer le signal représentatif du courant par rapport à la condition sélectionnée parmi les conditions prédéterminées de courant instantané et les conditions prédéterminées de courant de système de maintien de réduction d'arc, et génère un signal de déclenchement en conséquence.
