ABSTRACT The disclosure relates to 1- p-amino- alkoxy pehnyl-1-p-hyroxyphenyl-2-phenylalk-1-ene derivatives, processes for their manufacture and pharmaceutical compositions containing them. The compounds possess anti-oestrogenic activity and are useful in the treatment of a?ovulatory infertility and of breast tumours. Representative of the compounds disclosed is 1-(p-.beta.-dimethylaminoethoxy- phenyl)-trans-1-hydroxyphenyl-2-p-tolylbut-1-ene.
