A triple-valve internal blow out preventer having unitary construction is provided, each valve including a tubular assembly having a central passageway with upper and lower seats mounted therein. A ball is rotatably received between the upper and lower seats and includes an external surface and a central opening, wherein the central opening may include an undercut. A protective coating may also be applied to both the external surface and the undercut of the ball to increase the durability of each of the valves.

Cette invention concerne un bloc d'obturation de puits à triple clapet, de construction unitaire, dont chaque clapet comporte un ensemble tubulaire à passage central avec siège supérieur et inférieur intégrés. Une bille montée rotatif entre les sièges supérieur et inférieur présente une surface extérieure et un orifice central éventuellement sous-cavé. Un revêtement de protection peut également être appliqué sur la surface extérieure et sur la région sous-cavée de la bille dans le but d'augmenter la longévité de chacun des clapets.
