The present invention relates to novel bondable trisaryl-1,3,5-triazines containing active (acidic) hydrocarbons and the use thereof as an ultraviolet light absorber. The presently claimed compounds are particularly useful, either alone or in combination with other additives, including other ultraviolet light absorbers and stabilizers, in stabilizing polymers and other materials from degradation by environmental forces such as actinic radiation (ultraviolet light), oxidation, moisture, atmospheric pollutants and combinations thereof.

Cette invention concerne de nouvelles trisaryl-1,3,5-triazines susceptibles d'être liées qui contiennent des hydrocarbures actifs (acides) ainsi que l'utilisation de ces dernières en tant qu'absorbeur de rayons UV. Les composés de cette invention sont plus particulièrement utiles, qu'on les utilise seuls ou en combinaison avec d'autres additifs, y compris d'autres absorbeurs de rayons UV ou stabilisants UV, pour stabiliser des polymères et d'autres matériaux afin qu'ils ne subissent pas la dégradation due aux facteurs de l'environnement tels que la radiation actinique (rayons UV), l'oxydation, l'humidité, les polluants atmosphériques et les combinaisons de ces facteurs.
