A pharmaceutical composition for treatment of hyperlipidemia comprising a pharmaceutical carrier and an effective amount of a triterpenyl ester of organic acid other than triterpenyl esters of dibasic saturated fatty acids. A pharmaceutical composition for treating hyperli- pidemia which comprises a pharmaceutical carrier and an effective amount of cyclobranol as an active ingredient.
