PATENT APPLICATION for a TRITIUM TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE CONTAINER ABSTRACT Transportation and storage of tritium requires containers that are rugged to prevent the possible release of tritium in case of an accident. This invention has the valve to the container integral with the body of the container so that it can not be damaged if the container strikes something or is struck by something. The tritium is transported and stored as a metal hydride through the use of a getter material. It is driven from the container by heating it with heaters applied externally or internally.
