A retractable cover for the box of a pick-up truck, that totally or partially covers and locks the box. The cover can be manually rolled up on itself or folded on itself from either end, either from the front or the rear of the box, and it is supported by the two parallel side walls of the box. The cover is made of a flexible sheet material and spaced cross ribs. Two tracks attached to the top of the two parallel side walls will fix the cover in place, each track will have a gutter to drain water out and independent articulated flap members; each flap can be pivoted over the cover and will be fixed in place by locks provided on the track. A simple system allows the tail gate to be locked (or not locked) at the same time as the cover. When the cover is retracted or partly spread, two elastics will maintain the roll in place. A soft shell covers the roll for protection when resting on the track. A removable vertical crosswise divider creates a safe compartment while the cover is half open, the divider mating with slot guides provided on the inside walls of the box.
