-15- "TRUCK MOUNTED HOIST" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hydraulically operated truck hoist for feed bags and the like includes a front frame detachably mount- ed on the front bumper of a truck and extending upwardly therefrom. A hoist boom is pivoted by one end thereof to adjacent the top of the front frame and extends forwardly therefrom and is raised and lowered by a hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly extending between the boom and the frame. A strut extends rearwardly from the top of the frame over the roof of the cab of the truck and is secured to a rear support frame, the base of which is situated on the floor of the truck body and the vertical portion of which engages against the vertical front wall of the truck body. This rear frame may be detachably secured to the truck body and may be stabilized against sideways sway by check chains extending from the upper end of the vertical portion, downwardly and outwardly to the sides of the floor of the truck body to which they may be secured. Stands are provided at each side of the front frame to engage the ground which, together with a stand supporting the front of the boom, supports the hoist when removed from the truck.
