24 ABSTRACT A truck tool box is provided comprising in a preferred embodiment a unitarily molded polymeric blow molded body of sufficient width to span between the side panels of a pickup truck bed so as to receive support from the side panels and the front panel of a pickup truck bed without receiving support from the bed floor of the truck bed, said body being provided with an internal reinforcing bar spanning substantially between the side panels of the pickup truck attached inside the side of the body opposite the front panel of the pickup truck bed, and a single unitarily molded polymeric double walled blow molded lid covering in its closed position a single opening spanning substantially the entire width and substantially the entire length of the body without obstruction, said lid including multiple integrally molded cylinders adjacent one edge of said lid which serve as hinge pins and are surround- ed by hinge loops attached along one edge of said body.
