A tube for insertion into the body of a mammal has a tubular member having first and second ends and a lumen disposed therein which extends the entire length thereof; at least one feeding port extends through a wall of the tubular member near the first end and communicates with the lumen; an auxiliary tubing member is attached to the first end such that a lumen of the auxiliary tubular member does not communicate with the lumen of the tubular member; a pair of resonant circuit means is disposed within the lumen of the auxiliary tubular member such that the resonant circuit means are spaced apart from one another; each of the resonant circuit means has a different resonant frequency, a bolus plug being affixed to the auxiliary tubular member at an end thereof which is distal from the tubular member to retain the resonant circuit means within the auxiliary tubular member; the tube is employed in a system for detecting the position of an object within a body of a mammal.

Un obturateur de bolus est fixé à l'élément tubulaire auxiliaire à son extrémité distale par rapport à l'élément tubulaire, afin de retenir le circuit résonant à l'intérieur de l'élément tubulaire auxiliaire. Le tube est utilisé dans un système de détection de la position d'un objet dans le corps d'un mammifère.
