ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The sealing device for a tube of the invention is constructed bowl-shaped and consists of a jacket, which can be pressed areally against the inner wall of a tube to be sealed. The jacket on the forward side extends into a sealing lip. There is an end partition. The sealing lip has a free end, and by means of a spreading device can be pressed, including the free end, against the inner wall of a tube. In a preferred embodiment, the device has a hydraulically or pneumatically fillable inner space.
