ABSTRACT A tube, formed from steel or other appropriate material, for use in boilers, has spiral or circumferential corrugations embossed in its outer surface so as to produce corresponding spiral or circumferential protuberances on its inner surface. Fluids passing through the tube are thus subjected to turbulence, resulting in improved heat exchange and slower passage through the tube.
