An opening in the housing (42) enables access to the transfer tube in order to control fluid flow therein. A diaphragm (74) mounted to the housing and in fluid communication with the aspiration tube (58) enables pressure measurement in the tubing when the housing (42) is inserted into a drawer (44) in the console (12) and in operative engagement with a peristaltic pump head (14) disposed therein.
