ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tubular casing for foodstuffs, in particular sausages, comprising a web (4) which is curved along its longitudinal axis and having its longitudinal edge regions (1, 2) bonded by a glued seam. Preferably, the strip of film and the edge regions of the web are comprised of a smoke-permeable material, and optionally the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers also have a smoke-permeable structure, such as per- forations.
