ABSTRACT A tubular chemiluminescent device comprising inner and outer tubes containing liquid chemicals which generate chemiluminescent light upon intermixing. Due to the dimensional relationships of the tubes and the materials comprising the inner and outer tubes, light is generated when a lateral blow is delivered to the outer surface of the outer tube thereby deforming it without breakage. The blow causes breakage of a section of the wall of the inner tube thereby allowing the liquid chemicals contained therein to mix with the liquid chemicals contained in the outer tube thereby initiating the chemiluminescent light reaction.
