A method for spirally connecting two liner tubes each having an inner layer of a resin absorbent sheet and an outer layer of a hermetic plastic film: (a) turning over the outer layer film to expose a length of the sheet layer; (b) unthreading that portion of the thread with which the exposed portion of the sheet layer is stitched; (c) unrolling and partially flattening the unthreaded portion of the sheet; (d) cutting the flattened portion of the sheet along a straight oblique line; (e) abutting together the thus cut ends of the sheets of the two liner tubes; (f) stitching together the cut ends of the sheets; (g) rolling up the opened sheets to make them tubular again; (h) re-stitching the sheets along their long sides; and (i) unrolling the overturned film layer so as to cover up the exposed portions of the sheet again.
