Abstract of the Disclosure In a blood pressure monitoring system, a transducer which is a conductive rubber tube [16] having conductive terminals 119] at each end. The tube is connected to a liquid whose pressure is to be moni- tored, the liquid being, for example, a saline solution connected to a patient's blood vessel through a catheter and tubing. As the blood pressure changes, changes in voltage will appear at the conductive terminals.
