Tumor necrosis factor antagonists are administered in therapeutically effective doses to treat and/or prevent endometriosis. The antagonists of this invention typically are selected among various classes of molecules but preferably are soluble TNF receptors. The antagonists are useful for the regression of endometriotic lesions and, if combined with other active ingredients, for amelioration of related disorders, like infertility.

L'invention concerne des antagonistes de facteurs de nécroses tumorales qui sont administrés en doses thérapeutiquement efficaces en vue de traiter et/ou prévenir les endométrioses. Ces antagonistes sont typiquement choisis dans diverses classes de molécules mais ils sont de préférence des récepteurs TNF solubles. Ces antagonistes facilitent la régression des lésions endométriotiques et, s'ils sont associés à d'autres composants actifs, ils améliorent les pathologies associées, comme l'infertilité.
