A method for producing a polymer comprising reacting a fluoride and a monomer having a boronic acid moiety, or a salt thereof, in acidic aqueous solution and/or in an aliphatic alcohol. Polymerization occurs with the addition of an oxidizing agent. The method may further comprise the step of purification of the polymer by centrifugation with 0.5 M HCl and/or dispersion of the polymer in a solvent. The polymer has a morphology tunable by changing the solvent.

L~invention concerne un procédé de production d~un polymère impliquant la réaction d~un fluorure avec un monomère portant un fragment acide boronique, ou un sel dudit monomère, dans une solution aqueuse acide et/ou dans un alcool aliphatique. La polymérisation intervient lors de l~ajout d~un agent oxydant. Le procédé peut en outre comprendre une étape consistant à purifier le polymère par centrifugation dans du HCl 0,5 M et/ou à disperser le polymère dans un solvant. Le polymère possède une morphologie ajustable par changement du solvant.
