An oscillator (200) comprising a three-terminal device (203) and circuitry (205) coupled across a first terminal (208) and a second terminal (210) of the device. The circuitry (205) is preferably operable to bias the device (203) and feedback a select amount of noise generated by the device (203) into the device so as to reduce a proportional amount of phase noise present at a third terminal (216) of the device.

Cette invention se rapporte à un oscillateur (200) qui comprend un dispositif à trois bornes (203) et un circuit (205) couplé à une première borne (208) et à une seconde borne (210) du dispositif. Le circuit (205) est de préférence activable de façon à polariser le dispositif (203) et de façon à réinjecter une quantité sélectionnée de bruit généré par le dispositif (203) dans le dispositif, de façon à réduire d'une quantité proportionnelle le bruit de phase présent au niveau d'une troisième borne (216) du dispositif.
