A nonlinearly chirped fiber grating (100) for achieving tunable dispersion compensation, chirp reduction in directly modulated diode lasers (102), and optical pulse manipulation. A dynamical dispersion compensation mechanism can be implemented in a fiber communication system based on such a nonlinearly chirped fiber grating (100).
On décrit un réseau (100) de fibres modulé en fréquence de manière non linéaire qui assure la compensation de dispersion et le réduction de la compression d'impulsions réglables dans des lasers (102) à diode directement modulés et la manipulation des impulsions optiques. Un mécanisme de compensation de dispersion dynamique peut être mis en oeuvre dans un système de communication par fibres sur la base d'un tel réseau (100) de fibres modulé en fréquence de manière non linéaire.
