A trace amount of a tungstate added together with an ortho-phosphate and/or phosphonite is disclosed for inhibit-ing corrosion by a nitrogen fertilizer solution. In particular, an ammonium nitrate fertilizer solution is in contact with ferrous metal storage tanks, piping, and equipment surfaces. Tungstate added with an iron stabilizer including a dispersant polymer is also effec-tive for inhibiting corrosion.

Selon l'invention, on décrit une trace de tungstate ajoutée à un ortho-phosphate et/ou à une phosphonite destinée à inhiber la corrosion par une solution d'engrais azotée. En particulier, une solution d'engrais au nitrate d'ammonium est en contact avec des réservoirs de stockage, des tubulures et des surfaces d'équipement métalliques ferreux. Un tungstate ajouté à un stabilisant du fer comprenant un polymère dispersant est également efficace pour inhiber la corrosion.
