A turbine airfoil for a gas turbine engine includes: (a) spaced-apart pressure and suction sidewalls extending between a leading edge and a trailing edge; (b) a first cavity disposed between the pressure and suction sidewalls, the first cavity being adapted to be fed cooling air from a source within the engine, and connected to at least one film cooling hole which communicates with an exterior surface of the airfoil; (c) a second cavity disposed between the pressure and suction sidewalls, the second cavity being adapted to be fed cooling air from a source within the engine, and connected to at least one film cooling hole which communicates solely with the suction sidewall of the airfoil; and (d) a metering structure adapted to substantially restrict air flow into the second cavity.
L'invention porte sur un profil aérodynamique de turbine pour un moteur à turbine à gaz, lequel profil aérodynamique comprend : (a) des parois intrados et extrados espacées s'étendant entre un bord d'attaque et un bord de fuite; (b) une première cavité disposée entre les parois intrados et extrados, la première cavité étant apte à être alimentée en air de refroidissement à partir d'une source à l'intérieur du moteur, et reliée à au moins un trou de refroidissement pelliculaire qui communique avec une surface extérieure du profil aérodynamique; (c) une seconde cavité disposée entre les parois intrados et extrados, la seconde cavité étant apte à être alimentée en air de refroidissement à partir d'une source à l'intérieur du moteur, et reliée à au moins un trou de refroidissement pelliculaire qui communique uniquement avec la paroi extrados du profil aérodynamique; et (d) une structure de dosage apte à limiter sensiblement l'écoulement d'air dans la seconde cavité.
