Abstract of the Disclosure Turbine A dual pressure turbine has radial impulse stages driven by higher pressure working fluid, and axial flow stages driven by lower pressure working fluid, which may be the fluid exhausted from the last radial impulse stage. The radial impulse stage has buckets and a nozzle ring with an array of nozzles. The nozzle ring has vanes which are separate and partly define the contours of adjacent nozzles. The vanes have surfaces which face the axis of the respective rotor and which are continuously curved. The edges of each vane presents an included wedge angle of not more than 3°. The rotors of all the stages are coupled coaxially into a unitary rotary unit.
