Abstract of the Disclosure Turntable for rotating food being cooked in a microwave oven including a spring motor which drives a rotatable platform upon which the food is mounted. The turntable is made of a material having a low loss tangent at micro- wave frequencies, and the spring motor is surrounded by a shielding enclosure which reflects microwaves. Prefer- ably, the materials of which the turntable is made can also withstand temperatures of 500°F so that the turntable can also be used in conventional ovens.
