ABSTRACT A turntable for microwave oven is disclosed, comprising a base (4), having a platform (2) rotatively mounted thereto. A motor assembly (6) is mounted to an underside of the platform (2) and engages with a gear ring (28) in the base (4), whereby turning the platform (2). The motor assembly (6) has a metallic casing (126, 128) and serves as a secondary mode stirrer. A speed reduction assembly (8) is further provided, mounted to the underside of the platform (2). -21-
