Abstract of the Disclosure The specification discloses a twin baking oven having two ovens located one above the other in a common housing. The controls for the ovens are located in the upper part of the housing above the upper oven. Air ducts are pro- vided between the ovens and the housing in order to draw in cool air at the bottom of the housing and to exhaust it at the top. In order to protect the oven controls from overheating, the lower oven is thermally shielded by means of shielding plates from the cooling air ducts and the cooling air passes around the controls before being ex- hausted from the housing. The upper oven is preferably a microwave oven. In this way electrical or electronic control may be used for the oven without being subjected to damage by heat.
