The present invention is a twin pump liquid transferring system for pumping a flow of liquid. The system has first and second pumps that are plumbed in a parallel configuration. The first and second pumps each have a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet. An inlet Y-fitting conveys a flow of liquid to m first and second pumps. The inlet Y-fitting has an inlet that is in flow communication with a source of liquid to be pumped and has first and second outlets that are in flow communication with the inlet. The first outlet is operably fluidly coupled to the liquid inlet of the first pump and the second outlet is operably fluidly coupled to the liquid inlet of the second pump. An outlet Y-fitting conveys a flow of liquid from the first and second pumps. The outlet Y-fitting has first and second inlets. The first inlet is operably fluidly coupled to the liquid outlet of the first pump and the second inlet is operably fluidly coupled to the liquid outlet of the second pump. An outlet is in flow communication with the first and second inlets. The outlet discharges the liquid pumped by the first and second pumps.
